For the past 17 years, LAMDL has provided thousands of debaters with local summer debate events rooted in access for all students. We offer our camp exclusively to debaters in our program in order to make what is usually an expensive endeavor available in their community.
This summer, we proudly return to our traditional in-person camp at the University of Southern California - space is limited! Registration and additonal details coming soon.
*Please note the NEW DATES
The LAMDL SDI offers students of all skill levels an opportunity to prepare for the upcoming debate season. We have partnered with Joel Lemuel (Director of CSUN Debate) and Deven Cooper (Director of CSULB Debate) to help select the staff and design our schedule for the week.
Lectures and labs will be taught by some of the country’s leading debate experts and will get a jumpstart on the upcoming debate topic. In addition, students will have an opportunity to utilize the amazing research and lecture facilities at the University of Southern California.
Eligibility to Attend Camp
LAMDL SDI is open to any student who has joined the debate team at a LAMDL school. While space is limited, we should have more than enough space for all of your new and returning students. All students who plan to participate need to fill out our registration form.
Location of Camp
LAMDL SDI will be held on the campus of The University of Southern California.
